So, as it implies in the title, my nickname is T-Rex. My real name is Lisa, but I go by T-Rex because of these insanely outrageous hiccups I have. I wish you all could hear them because they're so loud and funny, but alas, you'll just have to believe me when I say their that big.
Other than that, some things about me are that I am a senior at Michigan State University. I am majoring in Criminal Justice and hoping to do something in ministry or juvenile justice when I graduate. I LOVE urban youth and college freshman, which is funny to me because my freshman year, I hated freshman... well, I pretty much hated everything. Now, God's got my heart and He is redesigning it to be more in touch with His style. I don't love every minute of it, but it has been so good.
This semester, God has been expanding my view of Him. He's reminding me that He cannot, will not, be put into a box and stay there. He's bigger than that, and I need to let Him work. He's made it possible to have 4 small groups in my dorm complex where my freshman year we sort of had two without really enough people between them to even make one. He's given our CRU people the opportunity to minister to Central Michigan University, and it has been so wonderful to hear of all sorts of new opportunities across both campuses. We've had a huge ministry this year with international students, which makes me happy because I love knowing that the ones that go home and work are going to go home with a message of hope!
There are so many verses that are important to my life, but one that I think is particularly important in my life is Eph. 3:20-21 "Now to him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us, to Him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus to all generations, forever and ever. Amen." It's a great reminder to me that the same God who created the universe is invested in my life and is doing a great work in it.
Oh yes, and I LOVE the color orange and baloons (in case you couldn't tell from the picture).
