question #3

thanks for your thoughts on the last post about connecting with lost students on your campus. i think it's fun to see how the Lord has given each of you different and unique ways to reach lost students on your campus, yet it continually comes back to building relationships and being authentic with others. i think we definitely live in a generation that values authenticity. keep going for it!

as you continue to seek reaching lost students on your campus, what do you need or desire to be more fruitful in connecting with lost students on your campus?

question #2

we didn't get much of a response for our first question, but we're gonna move on to question #2. you can respond to this question by clicking the "# comments" listed at the bottom of the post, it'll take you to another page and you can leave a comment...it'll be easy to read responses to the questions that way. thanks.

What has helped you most connect with lost students on your campus?

we'll have a new question next week, so please respond to this one soon! look forward to hearing from you.

Why do you love Jesus? Like really love him?

There have come to be many reasons for my love of Christ. His interaction in my life, the grace He gives to me on a moment by moment basis, the comfort and security of His word, and many more such things. As my faith in Christ has grown, so too have these developed. Through Him I have learned of grace (His steadfast love), just what His word teaches and brings, and how He really does interact in our lives as the true living God.

I didn't always have those reasons to love Christ. In fact, there was a time when I didn't have a single one.

I didn't used to believe in a personal god, much less a god that cared one iota about the human race. That slowly began to change through the experiences He brought into my life, and eventually I began to earnestly seek Him.

I wanted a relationship with my creator. There was a great need to know Him, to know my God. Nothing I found could even begin to fill that desire. I knew what I needed, what I wanted, what I was absolutely made for and I wanted it!

Some time passed until I was finally found by what I knew was needed. Until my heart could finally and humbly accept it.

That was when I gained my love for Christ. When He accepted me and fulfilled the deepest need I will ever have. When He finally made me complete in Him. I love Christ for loving me enough to have a relationship with me. To be willing to associate with someone who falls so short of His glory.

He is a wonderful and benevolent king and healer.

loving jesus

for our first question, we'd love to hear...

why do you love jesus? like really love him?

where do we go from here?

hi. my name is erin and i'm on staff with the la crosse area team in la crosse, wisconsin. i'm a small town white girl who really fell in love with jesus late in college. i had grown up going to church and had asked jesus into my life when i was really young, but i didn't really "get" my relationship with christ until i was invited to a christmas conference with campus crusade for christ my senior year of college. now, 8 years later, my life has been radically changed. i'm so thankful that jesus cared enough for me that he didn't want me to just live a mediocre christian life, but he came that i "may have life, and have it to the full" (john 10:10).

about a month ago a team of directors from around the nation met to continue talking about this project we've asked you to be a part of. thanks for your patience as we continue to work on getting things going.

over the coming weeks we'd like to ask you to post entries on this blog. i'll be posting some new questions and you can reply to my post (replying to my post would be best so that we can keep things easy to read on the blog!). we'd love to have you respond to the questions within about a 2 week period, so that the blog can actually be useful. we'd really love to see this be a place where you as students can interact with each other and share about how God is at work in your life, in your ministry, on your campuses, and even to be able to share ideas, ask questions, and give feedback and suggestions. some of you have also been invited by your staff be to a part of the spiritual movements everywhere facebook group. we started that to be able to send out the questions & keep you updated when we've updated the blog because we realize that a lot of you are on facebook more than the blog. if you haven't been invited to the facebook group yet please ask your staff to add you.

so, with that being said, i'm going to post a new entry with our first question and i look forward to hearing from you!
